Great wedding knife server
Sunday, April 26th, 2009I looked at a lot of wedding options before I decided I wanted to have a themed wedding and reception. So, now all that was left was to do was decide what theme sounded like the one I’d like to have. I took a look at the country western theme, and it seemed like it would be a lot of fun. I thought maybe we could have an old fashioned barn dance at the reception. A beach wedding sounded nice for our summer wedding. We could have a great time, swimming, partying on shore and watching a gorgeous sunset in the background. There were so many themed ceremonies and reception parties to choose from. And they had every accessory online from decorations to a wedding knife server to match every theme. Even though I found a lot of themed wedding ideas I liked, I chose the fantastic looking fairytale theme.
Since, I had made up my mind to use the storybook theme, it was time to find my accessories and reception supplies. The first thing I bought was the wedding invitations for our guests. After that I went on to the wedding décor and the other accessories I would need. I wanted to have a Cinderella atmosphere to the whole thing. First I needed to get the decorations I wanted to use in the church. Tulle swags were draped from each row of pews with a bow of satin pinned on each end. Tall vases filled with flowers were all around the altar, and tapered candles in fairytale holders were place on the sides of the unity candle.
As our guests entered the church they signed their names in our fairytale themed guestbook, which was absolutely gorgeous. I couldn’t have dreamed a more perfect fairytale ceremony than the one I had. Our little ring boy and flower girl were adorable and did such a super job at the ceremony. We took a carriage ride to the reception, just like Cinderella and her Prince left their ceremony.
All the tables at the reception were sparkling with crystal and silver and the entire reception hall was lavishly decorated with flowers. All the tables had crystal champagne flutes with storybook designed stems. Little castle place card holders were placed at every guests table. Another suggestion was to fill favor boxes with candies for the guests, and I chose little carriage style boxes for everyone.
Even though all of our reception tables were gorgeous, our wedding table was the most breathtaking. It gave the appearance of royalty to the reception. At the end of our wedding table, was the wedding cake table, with our beautiful five tier cake and gorgeous storybook topper. I found the most exquisite storybook wedding cake topper for our reception at the same place I bought all our other reception supplies. I saw a gorgeous wedding knife in a storybook theme with a very decorative handle. I really liked the wedding knife and server, so now I wanted to make everything else perfect! The set made a nice addition to the wedding cake and topper decoration.
As soon as the bridal toast and the best man’s speech was over, my husband and I had our first dance as husband and wife. We danced to our favorite song, “I Swear” by all for one. After our song was over, couples filled the dance floor, for the next song. There were so many photographs taken at the wedding and reception, I’m so glad I bought my fairytale wedding album for all these memories. Just before we left for our honeymoon, some of the guests thanked us for the lovely fairytale wedding favors we gave them.
Our wedding and reception was truly unbelievable and I know now that fairytales can come true.
