Lovely Mikasa Wedding
Monday, May 11th, 2009All the reception tables were set up with lovely mikasa crystal accessories at a wedding I attended last week. The place settings were so lovely with all the mikasa wedding favorsand gorgeous mikasa crystal glassware. The bride decorated her whole wedding and all the reception tables with such excellent taste. The mikasa accessories she had really added sparkle and elegance to her already beautiful table settings.
They had little silver doves as the place card holders, and on the end of their tails were little place cards with a bride and groom printed on them. The centerpieces she chose really helped to bring out the beauty of her reception tables. A beautiful floral arrangement was placed around pillar candles as the centerpieces. Their choice of wedding favors were something to acknowledge too. Mikasa crystal wedding favors were given to each and every one of us. The favors boxes with the little thank you hang tags was almost as gorgeous as the mikasa crystal favors that were inside.
Deep chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese topping each of the five layers with the fantastic wedding cake they had. Their wedding cake topper was really extra special. Since she ordered most of her wedding supplies and decorations from an online wedding store, she decided to check out the cake toppers too, and found out they customize wedding cake toppers. They make figurines that look just like the bride and groom for the topper and all it takes is sending them a couple head shots of the happy couple. It looked just like them. I had to find out where she ordered her wedding accessories from, the cake topper would be great for my mom and dads’ renewal wedding for their anniversary.
I think one of the funniest part of this whole thing was when it was time for the garter toss. Watching the looks on the guys faces as the groom removed the garter from the brides leg, was priceless. Then watching them fall all over each other, trying to be the lucky guy to catch it. What was really funny was that the winner of the garter toss was talked into participating by the other guys and he was a widower in his 70’s. As the old man walked off with the garter in hand he was smiling from ear to ear.
To toast the bride and groom we were given champagne flutes that had the bride and grooms name printed on them with the date of the wedding ceremony, and we got to take these home as keepsakes of the celebration. After the best man said his speech and we toasted the bride and groom, it was time for their first dance together as man and wife. Watching them dancing together, so elegantly, was so moving. The floor quickly filled up with couples right after the wedding couple finished their first dance. I know I went overboard on the dancing, my feet hurt all night long.
Finally it was time for the bride and groom to depart for their honeymoon, and we all said our good byes. Hawaii was the honeymoon destination, from what I was told by one of the guests. Looks like their honeymoon will be just as fabulous as their wedding was. The rest of us partied until we couldn’t party no more.
A couple of weeks later, I received a thank you note from the bride and groom for the wedding gift and for attending. She really got to these thank you’s quickly. By the way, I did find out how she could afford a mikasa crystal wedding and that lovely cake topper. I’m ordering what I need for my parents anniversary wedding party today.
