I knew there were a lot of wedding supplies needed when planning a wedding and reception, but I never realized just how much. Now I know why the girls at work told me to start wedding shopping asap. I was more concerned with the dresses, tuxedos and wedding party attire, I never realized that would be the easy part. There was a lot more to do than I thought there was. First of all I had to get out the invitations for our western themed ceremony and reception party. Then I went down the list of wedding party supplies I had written out, and crossed them off as I bought them. The first thing I had written down was my country themed decorations for the reception. First I checked online, through the suggestion of a friend, before starting a store to store search for everything. It worked out better than I thought it would, there were quite a few selections to choose from.

For our centerpieces I took metal campfire cups and filled them with wildflowers and placed western garland around them. There were some items I did have to pick up at a store, like bales of hay, a couple of big grills, and a few odds and ends to help the theme along. Well, I guess I should say, my fiance and his friend did that shopping. They also built a dance floor that we could all enjoy. Along with the super cool floor to dance on and a country band that sounded great, we had all kinds of fantastic food to eat. They grilled chicken, steaks ribs and more, and the buffet table was filled with all kinds of salads. We all had a lot of fun.

I got a lot of compliments on our western décor idea, from some of our guests. I’m so glad I went online searching for wedding accessories and decoration ideas. The best part was how easy and convenient it was, all I had to do was choose the accessories, order them and wait for them to be delivered right to my door. I had no time to go from store to store looking for all the accessories I needed, this way was so much better. I think Valentine’s day is the best day for a wedding. My fiance and I both agreed on that day, we would get married. As soon as we had the church and reception locations taken care of, I went looking for the ‘fall in love favor,’ as it was called. I found the invitations I wanted in no time. What I liked the best about these invitations, was the two little hearts hooked together as a symbol of unity. I’m glad I listened to my mom and bought extra wedding invitations, because while writing them out I made a few mistakes.

Now that the invitations were on their way, it was time to do some major accessories shopping. My mom and I went shopping for my bridal dress and shoes, together. She was a big help, once she stopped crying at every gown I walked out in. I finally found the wedding gown I was meant to wear and it only took seven or eight shops and 25 or maybe, 30 dress styles to try on. In the meantime, my fiance picked out his tux and so did the groomsmen at the first shop they went to. I was praying that he wouldn’t give the appearance of a pall bearer standing at the altar, because he picked the first suit he tried on. But I was wrong, he did good, and he looked extremely handsome.

Once our wedding party was taken care of, I needed to concentrate on how I wanted to decorate for our ceremony. I had red roses arranged around the altar and throughout the room, with ribbon and red velvet bows hung on every pew. The altar was covered in candle light and I found the most beautiful themed unity candle for our ceremony. I was given permission for the flower girl to toss the red and pink flower petals on the aisle. You have to have permission from churches now to follow that tradition, because many of them would rather you not throw things like petals on the aisles, thankfully, that wasn’t the case with our church. Everything went off without a hitch and the decorations were as perfect as our wedding ceremony.

I thought there was a lot to buy for the ceremony, but there was a lot more to get for the reception. There was everything to buy from love themed reception decorations to love themed favors for our guests. I had beautiful red roses all around the room and hearts hanging from the ceiling. On the dance floor just in front of the band was a huge heart made of red and white balloons.

On our tables were little cupids sticking our of centerpieces of gorgeous flowers. Our little place card holders had beautiful little white pearls on them. I packaged the beautiful love favors in favor boxes that were very decorative. Our guests complimented us on our reception table décor and especially the little favor boxes. The bridal table was decorated pretty elaborately too. Along with our love themed cake serving set were beautiful crystal heart champagne flutes, perfect for the bride and grooms toasting. But the most beautiful thing on our table was our lovely three tiered wedding cake. For the crowning glory of our cake I chose a love birds cake topper. Our wedding table was exquisitely decorated, from the gorgeous crystal to our magnificent wedding cake.

Thanks to all the accessories and supplies I found online this wedding turned out to be absolutely perfect.

After my husband and I returned from our honeymoon, I got started on all the thank you notes for our guests. Many of the guests sent us thank you’s for the great time they had at the wedding and reception and for the love party favors gifts they received. I think that was very thoughtful.

I forgot to mention that when I ordered our wedding guest book and pen, I also ordered an extra. I got one for our wedding ceremony and the other  unique guest books. There were a few people that weren’t able to attend the reception and I wanted to remember everyone that was there. And boy, did we celebrate! We must have danced and partied half the night. With scrapbooking pages and a place for all the little keepsakes I wanted to hang onto, this wedding album I bought could hold all the memories of that day and more. Leaving the reception wasn’t easy, we were having such a great time, but we had to get to the airport and start our honeymoon. Everyone said their congratulations and best wishes and complimented us on the wonderful reception as we were walking out the door. I hope all of our guests had a much fun as we did.

My new, wonderful husband didn’t tell me where we were going for our honeymoon. I put on my list of all the things I needed to purchase. We did not have a lot of time and there was a lot of accessories still on my list. I also bought some of my bridal accessories there too, like my veil and tiara. It was an exquisite veil with pearl and ribbon trim. My gold tiara went perfectly with my veil and had little pearls all through it. While looking for my tiara, I found out they also have birthday and bachelorette tiaras too. There are a lot of accessories for celebrations other than wedding ceremonies and receptions. There is a large supply of party favors to browse through. They have party favors for birthdays, graduations, bachelorette parties and naturally gorgeous wedding favors.

There were so many accessories for our wedding and reception. I was really impressed with the church and reception party decorations they had. The satin bows looked so lovely on each row of pews and the flowers were spectacular. I also bought a unity candle that came with beautiful tapered candles and candle holders. What’s nice too, is the fact that you can find accessories for almost any theme you can think of. I was very impressed with the seasonal themed accessories. I would have chosen the winter wonderland accessories if we were having our ceremony in the winter months. There were such beautiful winter wonderland accessories to work with. But, my favorite wedding theme for July was a beach theme. I have to admit, it was pretty awesome. We all had a great time and our guests commented on what a wonderful reception and wedding accessories we had. I got a lot of comments about our wedding cake topper Our bride and groom on the beach cake topper was really cute.

They thought our champagne glasses were quite special too. From the cake server set to the centerpieces on all the tables, everything looked fantastic. Someone had something nice to say about everything from our wedding decor to the our gorgeous reception. Everyone seemed to have a great time and did lots of dancing. I felt a little sad when it was time for us to leave the reception. But the honeymoon awaited. This is especially exciting for me, because I’ve never taken a trip like this before, and now I’m going there for my honeymoon. I can’t help but think this is only the beginning of a bright future.

It took me a while before I could decide on a theme for our ceremony and reception party. I checked on three different themes, beach, garden and country western. But on the other hand there is a lot to be said for tradition. I also thought about a fantastic destination wedding. A destination wedding in Vegas or maybe the gorgeous oceanside in Hawaii sounded awesome. I would probably go for the Hawaii destination. But I had to give that plan up, too many people wouldn’t be able to travel that far.
There were other ideas too, like a gorgeous winter theme ceremony. But since we were getting married in July, that just didn’t seem appropriate. I decided to go with the last, but not least of the wedding theme ideas, and have a fairy tale ceremony and reception. With all the accessories there are available, I could have the wedding of my dreams. I also found a place to get the perfect fairy tale wedding cake for a gorgeous royal wedding. So this was final. I wanted a fairy tale wedding and reception.

There were tiki torches and those little white christmas lights everywhere and a dance floor my fiance had fixed there. On the reception tables there were seashells and starfish scattered about and place card holders that were adorable little sailboats. The wedding favors I chose were lovely photo frames with a beach design, because I thought they were so pretty and I know that’s something that they can always use. I think the picture frames I chose were to their liking.

On the bride and groom table were our toasting flutes, lovely candles in their beach theme holders and lots of lovely tealights. All the supplies and accessories for our wedding reception was decorated in an oceanside motif, and so was our cake topper. Our topper was a bride and groom taking a walk along the beach. Thanks to all the supplies and bridal accessories I had to choose from, our wedding and reception was everything I had hoped it would be. We danced, ate tons of seafood, like shrimp, crab, lobster and of course we had other foods for those that didn’t like seafood. Everyone danced, ate and just had a fantastic time. I kinda hated to leave the party for our honeymoon, everyone was having such a great time.

As soon as we returned from our honeymoon I got out my beautiful beach themed wedding guest book and started writing thank you cards to our friends and family. My beach themed picture album has all the memories within its beautiful covers for me to enjoy anytime I want to look back on our special beach wedding and reception.
